Carlton River House

This stunning house built on the bank of the Carlton River was designed by Beach House Architecture. Whilst only comparatively small the design creates a feeling of space, warmth and quality.

Features include locally sourced Tas Oak with black burnished concrete and cement sheet cladding. The choice of black emphasises the natural timber. Extensive glazing on the riverside maximises light and space and highlights the exposed timber portal frames through the building.

The kitchen was crafted from floorboards rescued and recycled from an old Victorian Gymnasium.

The expansion joints and the burnished floors were inlaid with Tas Oak to reflect the portal beams.

Building our dream home on riverfront land was a big project, but Jesse and his team at 2B Building nailed it. Their skills in crafting architecturally stunning homes in beautiful locations are impressive. From breaking ground to the final touches, Jesse and the team’s dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident every step of the way.

What sets Jesse apart is his creative troubleshooting. He didn't just overcome challenges; he turned them into opportunities. His ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions added an extra layer of excellence to the project. His professionalism and open and clear communication made the whole construction process smooth and stress-free.

The end result is fantastic - a special home that not only embraces the architectural design but also feels like it belongs right by the river. We highly recommend Jesse and the team at 2B Building to anyone seeking top-notch craftsmanship and a seamless building experience.
